Ingredients

  • 4 oz grass-fed tender steaks of choice
  • 2 Tbsp ghee or coconut oil for Core AIP
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste (omit for Core AIP)

Instructions

  1. Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature on the counter for about 40 minutes. This will ensure even cooking.
  2. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the steak generously with sea salt and ground black pepper (if using).
  4. If using ghee, melt a tablespoon of it in the pan or on the grill. If following Core AIP, use coconut oil instead.
  5. Place the steak on the hot grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  6. Adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.
  7. Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Slice the steak against the grain to ensure tenderness.
  9. Serve your steak with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete and nutritious meal.
