AIP Teriyaki Sauce

An AIP compliant Teriyaki sauce. Perfect for chicken wings and pizza! For a thick teriyaki sauce use the recipe as is. For a thinner teriyaki sauce, omit the arrowroot powder and water.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/2 tsp Black strap molasses
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp arrowroot starch
  • 1 Tbsp water To mix with the arrowroot

Instructions

  1. Mix the arrowroot with the water in a small bowl.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients into a bowl and stir. Then add in the arrowroot mixture and stir.
  3. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan and heat over medium heat. Simmer until thickened (it will take longer to thicken if you omit the arrowroot).
  4. Let cool and store in a glass container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat on low heat before serving.
