An AIP Bridal Party

Happy Spring lovelies!

I am so happy Winter is on it’s way out and that hopefully the weather will continue to get warmer around here. If you follow me on Instagram, then you will already know that my fiancĂ© and I eloped 2 weeks ago! All of our close family and friends knew that we were eloping but I wanted to wait to tell everyone else. So back in February my friend Shoshanna planned a secret AIP Bridal Party/Weekend for me. Planning an AIP Bridal party is not easy and she did such a great job!

I wanted to share what we did and what I ate since I know that social situations can be difficult on the AIP. Hopefully this post will show you that an AIP Bridal Party is totally doable! I am so lucky to have such supportive friends and family.

So without further ado here is our itinerary, along with some photos!

Saturday

10:00- Creams and Facial Botanicals Class at Kolya Naturals

1:00- Lunch: Everyone else had sushi and I brought my lunch from home which was cauli-rice stir fry with salmon

2:00- Makeup Application: We went to a Spa where they offered makeup applications using all Jane Iredale products

4:30- Check into our Princess Themed Hotel Room

5:00- Snacks/drinks & photos: I had some Kombucha, Jackson’s Honest Sweet Potato chips, plantain chips, fruit & veggies. We used some funny props and took photos!

6:00- Dinner Theatre: My friend called ahead and requested for my meal to be plain chicken with steamed veggies and a side salad with lemon & olive oil as a dressing. For dessert they brought me a fresh fruit plate.  As soon as I got there they verified my meal order and it was brought out at the same time as everyone else’s dinner.

9:30- Movie and Cake: My friend made me an AIP chocolate cake and everyone else had cupcakes. Then we watched Bridesmaids and stayed up way too late talking.

The next morning we woke up and had some left over fruit, and AIP muffins for breakfast. I also gave everyone a gift bag filled with healthy skincare products and treats along with a personalized thank you card! Then I headed over to the bridal store for one last dress fitting and to the jewellery store to pick up the wedding bands.

All in all it was a great weekend that I will never forget! I loved every minute of it and the entire weekend was AIP compliant, except maybe the staying up too late!

Stay tuned for more wedding posts, including my AIP Wedding Cake!

XO
